This is a special post today because I’ve just added something to the blog and I want to introduce it to you.

Take another look…see that banner right under our normal banner of pictures? Yeah, that “gear-head guy”!

He’s there to tell you about a great site I’ve found called Think Right Now!

Why would I do that? Because I’ve found a possible answer for all of us who try so hard to reach our goals but still seem to block our own path…without knowing why!

Come on, you know what I mean, we have a goal, great intentions, a solid plan we know works…and somehow we just never execute the plan or we shoot it in the foot some way. It’s like there’s some invisible barrier between ourself and success.

That’s why I want you to check out Think Right Now. I’m not going to try to explain it…it’s obvious to me that Mike Brescia, the President of Think Right Now Int’l knows a lot more about this than I do.

By the way, when you take the link you’ll find out that you can sign up for a free newsletter to learn more as you go along. I signed up for it…does that tell you something?

Well, I’m going to!

Going to what? I’m going to share something a bit out of the ordinary today. It may be off topic, but it might just be the very thing some of you are looking for.

You’re all goal setters and I don’t know what kind of goals you are working toward, but I’ll bet some of you have goals for making additional money. If you are, this post is especially for you!

We all know that there are a lot of people making money using the internet, but how?

If you’re serious about not just learning the answer to that but also actually DOING it, here’s your chance to back up your goals with ACTION!

In fact, I’m going to give you two simple actions to take…assuming you’re serious about making money on the internet. My wife and I are serious about it, so we’re taking action.

In fact, I would never recommend anything to you that I’m not doing myself!

Now, I’m going to give you two actions to take, but go ahead and read this entire post before you do…I don’t want you to miss something!

So, here are the two actions:

1. Go here and read a review my wife has written about the program we’re using. (Be sure to watch the video at the beginning!) You’ll see that we’re both excited about it and committed to it.

2. From Jeanne’s review, take the link to Eric’s information to get all the details.

After you’ve done both of those actions you will be ready to make a decision…but not until you’ve done both of them!

Go ahead now, put action behind your goals RIGHT NOW!

I got an email from a dear friend in Minnesota the other day and thought it was perfect to share here on my blog. Hope it makes you think as much as it did me. We probably all need to learn more about handling stress.

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, “How heavy is this glass of water?” Answers called out ranging from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you’ll have to call an ambulance. In each case, it’s the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.”

He continued, “And that’s the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won’t be able to carry on. As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we’re refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.”

“So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don’t carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you’re carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can. Relax; pick them up later…after you’ve rested. Life is short. Enjoy it!”

And then he shared some ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

Accept that some days you’re the pigeon, and some days you’re the statue.

Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.

Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

Drive carefully! It’s not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.

If you can’t be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Never buy a car you can’t push.

Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won’t have a leg to stand on.

Nobody cares if you can’t dance well…just get up and dance.

The second mouse gets the cheese.

When everything’s coming your way, you’re in the wrong lane.

Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.

You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty, and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

When we got married almost 42 years ago, my father became her father. That was the closest she ever came to having a father. Although he is now in heaven, we think of him often.
She put together these quotes about fathers and wanted to share them with you in honor of Father’s Day:

Father’s Day is coming! For those of you living outside the United States, that may not be a special day, but June 15 is Father’s Day in the United States. This is simply a day we designate to honor fathers for the contributions they make to their families and society. We celebrated Mother’s Day on May 11 for a similar reason.

So, to all of you fathers out there, Happy Father’s Day! (And, to those of you looking for a Father’s Day gift for someone, I’ll give you a suggestion for a free gift at the end of this post!)

I want to take the occasion of Father’s Day to share a little about my Father. He is in heaven now, but he left many memories with those he left behind; and he left the legacy of a strong, loving, and loved, family.

That’s pretty strong tribute just by itself. But there’s more, and that’s the topic of this post. My dad was a dairy farmer. He never talked a lot about goals and how to achieve them, but he taught me related truths anyway.

First, I learned from little on up the law of sowing and reaping. Are you familiar with that one? Simply, you reap WHAT you sow AFTER you sow it! Reaping a crop is an example of delayed gratification. First, you work hard preparing the soil for the planting. Then, you plant, cultivate, and nurture the crop as it’s growing. Later…months later…you reap the crop. You can’t plant it today and expect to reap tomorrow. It doesn’t work that way!

This is an important concept to remember as we are working to achieve our goals. We will reap WHAT we sow. In other words, we can’t sow careless financial habits and expect to reap the rewards of good financial habits. Also, we reap AFTER we sow. Thinking of finances again, we may need to work our financial plan for many years to achieve the financial result we desire. That result is the goal. We have to work the plan for as long as it takes to achieve it!

The second important lesson I learned from my dad is to never quit. Don’t ever give up! My dad was not some huge financial success owning half the county and getting rich from his efforts. Indeed, I saw him suffer more than one significant setback, financial, physical, and health. But I never saw him quit. He would never just give up and expect someone else to take care of him. Sometimes he had to change the plan he was following, but he always kept going.

That’s another life lesson to apply to your goal achievement process. Try, fail, adjust, but don’t quit!

So, there are your two life lessons. You’ll harvest what you sow after you sow it, and never quit!

Now, here’s an idea of a gift you can give that won’t cost you a cent. At the top left corner of this blog there is a link where you can register to receive my FREE report: 6 Letters to Launch Your Goals: CHANGE. You will also have the opportunity to receive a FREE bonus vacation. Go ahead. Register. Print a copy of the report, and give it to your dad along with the free vacation! He’ll love you for it, and you can both use the report!

Happy Father’s Day on June 15!
