Great minds have purposes, others have wishes. Washington Irving

Great minds have purposes, others have wishes

Are you wishing, or are you living with a purpose? There is a big difference and, without your ever knowing, people around you can tell.

What do you think of that statement? Do you agree? Reflect on it for a moment as I share some of my experiences with you.

As I’ve mentioned elsewhere on this site, I’ve spent some time (and effort) in network marketing. There were many things I liked about it, including the potential of earning a good income. But the income really wasn’t the only thing. There was something powerful and uplifting about working, learning, and hanging out with other people who had a purpose. They weren’t just wishing they could achieve their goals, they were living their lives with a purpose, a purpose to achieve those goals.

Today I attended a seminar with another group of people who are living their lives with a purpose. They all have different businesses and they work their businesses differently. But, there was that same spirit, or energy, in the room. I was with a group of people who knew what they wanted, had formed some sort of plan to achieve it, and were working hard pursuing it. People like that have an energy that is noticed by those around them. The other people may not know what it is, but they know something is different.

How about you? Do you have a wish or do you have a purpose? If it’s a wish you’ll probably get over it. If it’s a purpose, you’ll find it’s worthy of spending your time and your life fulfilling it.

Washington Irving was right, think about it, then do something about it!

Note: I hope you’ve noticed that there is a “Goal Quotations” block on the left side of this site. Check it out each time you come here, there will be different quotations showing up regularly to help inspire you.
